The truth is, if you know the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, you don't need luck. No matter what seemingly impossible fight situation you find yourself in, if you properly apply the principles of jiu-jitsu, you can devise simple and reliable technique to overcome the obstacle. In other words, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is your "lucky charm."
On the sixth Submission Series t-shirt, we pay tribute one of the most devastating submissions in the jiu-jitsu arsenal, the Guillotine Choke. The Guillotine Choke was always one of Grand Master Helio's favorite techniques because of the fact that it could be used to choke an aggressive opponent from a standing position. Even though the Guillotine Choke is introduced to all beginner Gracie Jiu-jitsu students in Lesson 23 of the Gracie Combatives program, it remains one of the most commonly used techniques in high level MMA competition around the world. One of the most spectacular Guillotine Chokes in recent history was Renzo's "Flying Arm-in Guillotine" finish of Pat Militech, as featured in this great segment on "60 Minutes." Click below to watch.

$35.00 View ItemThis vintage t-shirt pays homage to the epic battle between Helio Gracie and Masahiko Kimura on October 23, 1951. The match was held at the world-famous Maracanc soccer stadium where over 20,000 people were in attendance, including the President of Brazil. $35.00 View ItemOn the fifth Submission Series t-shirt, we pay tribute to the first submission technique taught in the Gracie Academy curriculum, the Americana Armlock. Even though this shoulder lock is simple enough to be taught in Lesson 2 of the Gracie Combatives program, for it to be effectively applied against a high-level grappler, it must be practiced and perfected over several years. Whether you're a beginning student looking for a simple submission to add to your arsenal, or you're the UFC light-heavyweight champ, looking to retain your title against Vitor Belfort, the Americana Armlock is one submission you don't want to roll without!
$32.00 View ItemThe all-time best selling Gracie t-shirt had to be brought back for the holidays, so we decided to go with the subtle gray print on a cool indigo blue slim-fit cotton t-shirt.

$25.00 View ItemYou've never heard of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu? Okay, well the way we handle our opponents is very similar to the way an Anaconda handles it's prey: we close the distance, get the fight to the ground, achieve the dominant position, and finish the fight with a powerful submission. We're very precise, extremely patient, and we thoroughly enjoy taking on mammals up to twice our size.
$28.00 View ItemBest seller. We had to bring it back in the low key military green/black color way for our brothers and sisters on the front lines.

On the fourth Submission Series t-shirt, we honor the most devastating submission of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, the "Mata Leao" or Lion Killer, also known as the Rear Naked Choke. This technique has been used to win more Gracie challenge matches than all others combined. Although it had been used by the family for 65 years before the UFC was created, the Mata Leao became globally recognized. Royce used it to defeat Ken Shamrock in only 57 seconds in the semi-final match of UFC 1. Simply put, if you had to fight a lion, this technique would be your best bet.

On the third Submission Series t-shirt, we pay tribute to the Japanese champion, Masahiko Kimura. On October 23, 1951, Helio Gracie and Masahiko Kimura faced off at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This would be the first time that a world jiu-jitsu championship bout would be held outside of Japan. The fight was a submission only bout and was set for two ten-minute rounds. Kimura was so sure of immediate victory, he stated that Helio should be considered the winner if he could only avoid defeat for three minutes. When the fight began, the much heavier Kimura was able to throw Helio so many times that Helio later stated that he felt as though he were in a blender. The first 10 minutes passed and Kimura still wasn't able to submit Helio. Three minutes into the second round, Kimura was able to lock the reverse "ude-garami," the Japanese word for reverse "arm entanglement," on Helio, and fearing that Helio wouldn't tap out, Carlos Gracie, Helio's older brother, threw in the towel forfeiting the match to Kimura. Ever since that match, the reverse "ude-garami" has been called the "Kimura Armlock," out of respect for the Japanese champion.
On the second Submission Series t-shirt, we pay tribute to Grand Master Helio Gracie's favorite technique, the Gi Choke. In 1951, the Grand Master shocked Brazil when he used a gi choke to defeat, Kato, rendering the top ranked Japanese Jiu-jitsu fighter unconscious in just six minutes. Forty-three years later, Royce Gracie shocked the world when he used a gi choke to defeat Minoki Ichihara and Remco Pardoel in UFC 2. With the SS2/10 t-shirt, not only do you get an incredible garment highlighting all the essential details of this powerful technique, but you also get instant access to a top secret 21-minute instructional video entitled "16 Street Chokes," in which Ryron and Rener teach you how to choke someone in a street fight regardless of what they are, or aren't, wearing!
